It’s scary, frankly, just knowing there are people, like Scottie, who witness crimes and do not speak out, do not speak truth to power unless there is a monetary reward.  While I applaud “Scottie” for speaking out now, it tells us how far a dictator could go in this country without anyone crying out — Bush got this far and may still go further before Jan., 2009.  How far will the next Bush get?

This is what scares me more:  I often wonder if the great masses of Americans are too tired and beaten down to care.  I wonder if perhaps they want a dictator?  Or wouldn’t care if a dictator emerged?
