Thank you, President Obama, for announcing your support for gay marriage, especially on the day after Amendment 1 passed in North Carolina.

    Yes, this announcement felt like a much needed warm hug for those of us in NC who value civil rights and who yesterday witnessed our citizenry vote to, for the first time ever, write discrimination into our state constitution…very sad…but the President is reminding us of what our country is made of and where we are going, in spite of ignorant haters. LOVE our POTUS!
